Snail mail challenge

April is letter writing month. I am taking part in a snail mail challenge inspired by the #write_on campaign to write 30 letters in 30 days. I meant to write an update last weekend but I organised a joint surprise 30th birthday party with my friend forย our boyfriends. We were up most of Friday night making this cake:

The car journey to the venue with this on my lap was quite scary! My friend successfully dodged every pot hole and we got there in one piece. It was so heavy, there was about 1KG of mini eggs on top. Saturday night was party times so Sunday was a pyjama day – yay!
Anyway… My letter writing challenge is going well.

I started my challenge by sending some letters to my friends from school. I found some great cards:

I sent my friends from school a general life update. My favourite letters I have sent are the ones I posted to a lot of the women in my life. I wrote the letters on paper from the Paperchase letter writing sets I reviewed here. Enclosed within each envelope was a copy of Maya Angelou’s “Phenomenal Woman”.

I know I have talked about this poem before, but it is one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. I printed the poems onto my free Spring Flowers letter writing paper download. My friends and family loved receiving the poem. You can’t beat a bit of girl power.

I’m not sure what else to say really. This challenge is one I have really enjoyed and I am confident about hitting my 30 letter target! Are any of you taking part?

    Hello!

I see that you’re a fellow snail-mailer ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve started out new on WordPress (It’s Day 1 woohoo!) and was looking out for others who also like sending and receiving post. I was wondering if I could send you a postcard or two from India.

    King regards,
